Clarks announced that this year, the 26th April will be officially declared as ‘Wallabee Day’.

The iconic shoe from the British manufacturer is popular with males and females from a cross-section of cultures. As a comfortable alternative to trainers, the brand has done some brilliant collaborations, further growing their market and increasing their brand visibility.

Celebrities such as David Beckham, LeBron James, Drake, FKA Twigs and Jorja Smith, who has become a brand ambassador, have regularly been spotted wearing the Wallabee shoe.

Raekwon the Chef, hip-hop emcee and member of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, name-dropped the shoe in his classic debut album ‘Only Built For Cuban Linx’. Fellow Wu-Tang member Ghostface Killah had a pair of customized Clarks on his debut album ‘Iron Man’. It was only right Clarks got Rae to break the announcement on Instagram.

I am a big fan of Wallabees and have several pairs, so I’ll definitely be rocking a pair on the day!
