Jerk Junction is a restaurant that is making serious waves in the Greater Manchester area. Initially founded in 2013 under the directions of foundation kitchen staff Miss Lola the business had a change of ownership and was bought out by new owners Jake Shaffi and his business partner and professional footballer, Jesse “J-Lingz” Lingard.

The restaurant had opened its first branch in Chorlton, Manchester and within the last few years has expanded to having 5 sites, 4 in Manchester and one in nearby city in Yorkshire, Sheffield where a branch has been launched in The Yard, Bardwell Road S3. Unfortunately, the original site was subject to a fire in August 2023. As a result the Chorlton site is being renovated and is not fully operational but hopefully it will relaunch this year. Clearly that has not stopped the business from growing and gaining a big reputation.

The restaurant has featured a bottomless brunch on Saturday’s, where you can continually sip whilst you eat. It has a adapted but splendid menu and is a really popular feature so, it always best to book in advance and check it is available at the branch you intend on visiting. The regular menu has all the classic Jamaican dishes, Curry goat, Peppered steak, Curry chicken and of course Jerk chicken meals. That would be incomplete without the sides, whether it is Mac and Cheese, Plantain or Coleslaw it’s all available as well as the homemade cakes the Jerk Junction is well known for.

On Sundays, a Jerk Roast Dinner is on offer, served with all the trimmings with the option of Rice and Peas and Plain Rice. You can have Jerk Chicken or Lamb whatever your preference and the meat is carefully prepared so that is it soft and tender of the bone. Again, you should always book at the restaurants to avoid disappointment and to confirm whether the Sunday Roast is available at the branch you are thinking about going to.

The Wilmslow site opened this year and the restaurant chain looks like it is not stopping in its journey of expansion. With Mancunian and Chelsea Footballer Cole Palmer a customer, who knows we might see the chain venture down South in the near distant future!
