Despite facing a dominant German side for most of the match, Real snatched victory with late second-half goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr.
The Spanish club’s European pedigree is undeniable, and under the leadership of Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti, they’ve become a recent powerhouse in the competition. However, this wasn’t a walk in the park for Real. Borussia Dortmund controlled much of the game, creating numerous scoring opportunities they couldn’t capitalise on.
